  What We Catch

REDFISH

My favorite fish to catch. Known for pure strength, you'll be amazed by their 'smokin' drag buzzin runs. Reds can be caught in the shallow flats using live and artificial baits. My favorite is the top water 'dog walkin' plug. Live bait is fun and deadly using white baits and shrimp. The red populations are coming back to Florida waters due to new conservation rules over the last few years. Conservation of reds is extremely important and I encourage guest to release most of their redfish catch.

SNOOK

The popular inland sportfish that everyone loves to catch. Known for their spectacular top water hits and drag burning runs. Snook are caught in our waters year round, however the best times are the summer months, when they can be found seemingly everywhere - under bridges, docks, on the flats, and around mangrove islands.

TROUT

The Spotted sea trout is the most common fish in the area. Although they are not the most aggressive fighter, they are among the most aggressive eaters and are know for tremendous top water strikes. Trout fishing is good year round but fall and winter months are best for larger fish.

GOLIATH GROUPER (Jewfish)

A recent favorite fish of mine is the Goliath Grouper. We've caught them up to 300 pounds fishing with some very heavy tackle. When you need a real work out and want a nice picture with a fish that weighs more than you, this is the one. Goliath Grouper can be caught when the waters warm up from May to November. During this 4-5 hr trip we'll take the time to catch some bait. (catfish, stingrays, jacks, as long as it's big bait) Claiming the biggest bait generally catches the biggest fish.
